Do This To Have a Great Business

If you want to have a great business...or better yet, your Ideal Business, then you have to find the bottlenecks that are holding you back and you have to remove them.
See, the goal isn't to avoid the problems...it's not to bury your head in the sand.
The goal is to solve them.
I'd go as far as to say that as an entrepreneur your success is proportionate to your problem solving.
In fact, if there is a trait that's helped me along the way more than any other, it might be that I don't really dwell on problems...I'm almost immediately seeking out solutions.
So, to eliminate bottlenecks or solve problems I think you have to bring something new to the table.
You can't continue to do what you've always done and expect things to dramatically improve.
So, when I go to solve problems I tend to do it this way:
Play to my strengths and borrow from the successful.
Playing to my strengths is simply trying to find a way to leverage what I already do well to solve a problem.
If I need more business and I enjoy networking and writing...what opportunities are there for me to use those things that energize me and have already proven successful to expand my business?
I look there first.
When you play to your strengths you get maximum results with what feels like minimal effort...even if you are working hard.
Borrowing from the successful is simply studying what has worked somewhere else and figuring out how I can adapt it to what I do.
That's why I am already reading about other businesses or leaders that I admire.
What can I learn from them that helped them achieve success?
I don't want to have to re-invent everything. I want to be the best at what I do and leverage others being the best at what they do.
So, how can you practically apply this to create your own Ideal Business?
Well, first you have to determine what bottlenecks you have in your business.
We all have more than one...so pick out the ones that, once eliminated, will have the greatest impact.

If you aren't getting enough leads...what strengths can you leverage to get more?
What has worked for others that you can borrow and adapt to what you do?
Is your bottleneck:
Lead generation?
Prospect conversion?
Time?
Scaling beyond just you?
It could be any of these or a host of others.
Identify it and solve it.
