My husband Scott and I have been asking ourselves how we can do more good in a world that truly needs it.?
We have been inspired by the Egyptian tale of a mouse who saves a lion and proclaims, “It is beautiful to do good.”?
That has become a guiding principle for us as we make choices in our lives.??
And it’s not just about volunteering, donating, or other typical do-good activities.?
It also extends to my work as a consultant.?
In one of my first consulting gigs I got, I got to do a lot of good.?
The project helped an important healthcare sector make the case for investments in increasing their capacity.?
And when those investments started to flow to those healthcare providers, ones I cared so much about, so they could serve more of the populations I cared so much about, I knew why I was a consultant.?
And I knew I had to make being a consultant work, so I could get to do more of the work I felt called to do.?
You see, doing meaningful work is one of my primary whys.?
I make good money as a consultant, but it is never just about the money to me.?
I enjoy doing good.?It feeds my soul.
It’s the same reason I started helping other consultants.?

And have the freedom they crave.?
