In my last post I talked about using your memory to predict your future.
In this post I’m going to show you the four levels of visualization.
But first I’ll answer the question. “Do expectations ruin business relationships?â€
Yes, if you expect someone else to read your mind.
When you use your memory to predict the future you’ll take into account the expectations of those you want to influence.
Daily thinking time.
In the book “The Road Less Stupid†the author encourages readers to have daily thinking time.
It’s a valuable concept most CEO’s ignore.
Napoleon Hill gave us the best clue with the title of the book, “Think and Grow Rich.â€
He didn’t say talk and grow rich. Or disrespect others and grow rich.
By the way, I never liked Think and Grow Rich. Get “Outwitting the Devil†if you want what Napoleon Hill really thought.
The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.

So here as promised are…
The four levels of visualization.
Think about your financial endgame.
The first thing I do with my clients is ask them where they are headed financially?
Then I get them to imagine their life with that kind of money.
And “I hold their feet to the fire†until they reach their financial goals.
The go through four levels of seeing their future in their imagination.

Level one.
You know your financial endgame… and you are aligned to it.
In other words you have an image of what your life will look like in the future.
Level 2.
You have full clarity on your financial endgame… and it is documented clearly.
The power of writing your goals has been proven to work. The trick is you write them on paper not on a computer.
Level 3.
You have full clarity on your financial endgame and the emotional significance behind achieving it.
Your “reason why.†Without an emotional attachment to your goal the chances of you reaching it are around zero. Unless of course you get lucky.
Level 4.
You can clearly articulate your financial endgame in concrete visual words that can be clearly understood by anyone who will listen.
This last level is where we’re going next.
Visual descriptive words are the fastest route to your goals.
That’s the subject of our next post.
I’ll leave you with this thought from Edmund Spenser.
“It is the mind that maketh good or ill, that maketh wretch or happy, rich or poor.â€
