When it comes to exotic supercars though, the enthusiasts that make these high-end purchases are much less likely to be concerned about how it would fair in a crash as they are looking for performance rather than safety. Manufacturers of exotic supercars put hundreds of thousands of dollars into building each vehicle. Unlike mass-produced cars in some of the leading car manufacturing companies, building an exotic vehicle takes a lot of time, effort, and skills from leading professionals. Since all cars in the United States need to perform a safety and emissions test before they can be sold to the public, supercar companies typically create a prototype that demonstrates the abilities and shortcomings of the car’s safety.
