Do not count your chickens until they hatch

This is a proverb that states that we should not depend on something wished for until we know for certain that it will happen. It’s great to make plans, however, what are you doing about it to ensure success??

How does this type of thinking relate to short-term rental??We want you, our guests, to know that you can count on us to take care of you.?Our goal at REST is to provide “World class service”, and one of the ways is for us to anticipate the guest’s needs.

It can be hard to count on things today. That’s why we approach our business as if we were planning our own vacations. We know that you have an abundance of choices for lodging and we want you to choose wisely. It will be nice to count on somebody who’s looking out for you.?Let us prove we got your back, so you can REST.?

I have used this same way of thinking when it comes to my health. It easy for people not to prioritize health. Most people count on their body without putting in the work.?No matter your age, most people trust their body to be ready to respond. In today’s schools, physical education is a low priority, so much so that you can take it in summer school or they will count other activities like band or cheerleading.?

We have forgotten about lifetime sports and the goal to move and be active. Obesity prevalence is about 40% in the US, which hurts all us long term. I am not saying everybody needs to work out like me. I put in a minimum of 90 minutes a day. My attitude is that if I can do this, I will be around the next day for my family. You might be thinking that yes, but you can all still get hit by a bus! There is a Old saying, “We plan, God laughs.” I know my working out is just my insurance policy – it’s not a guarantee. Things are sometimes out of our control.???

Putting in a minimum of 30 minutes a day of exercise should be on everybody’s to-do list. Most people don’t realize we lose strength and flexibility every year. We can ensure success if we make a plan.?
