Do this to avoid wasting resources!

One of the most common mistakes I see firms make is skipping right over the capture plan (or the go/no-go evaluation).?

The first thing you need to understand about the capture plan and a go/no-go evaluation is that they are often used together, or one aids the other.???

?

It's a time when you get together and decide whether you should move forward with your idea.???

This will help you ensure that you're ready to move forward with your project—and it helps ensure that you won't "waste" resources if things don't go as planned.?

But here's the thing: many times, even though all signs point to a deficit, firms still pursue projects that they know are highly likely to result in a notch in the "no win" category.???

Why????

Because they're so focused on getting their ideas out there that they forget about making sure those ideas are viable in the first place.?

And guess what????

It doesn't always work out for them.???

But when you're trying to utilize your resources wisely—whether those resources are people, money, or time—you want to be careful about where you spend them before they even get spent!?
