DNS for TradHealthCare
Hello, back to the TradHealthCare. Project has been taking shape, I have the Active Domain up and running. Recently introduced, a Windows 10 PC and a backup domain to the network.
In order to support the logical structure of the Active Directory, we must construct a DNS infrastructure after creating the Active Directory forest and domain designs. Through DNS, users can link to computers and other resources on IP networks using amiable, memorable names.
Forward and Reverse Lookup Zones come into picture. Forward Lookup Zones are used to map a domain with its IP address while the latter is used to map an IP address to a domain, in this context the domain refers to the FQDN device. Fully Qualified Domain Name is a device that is registered to the domain, basically a device.tradhealthcare.com.
By implementing DNS for our client/server architecture, resources on a TCP/IP network can find other resources via IP address-to-host name and host name-to-IP address resolution. DNS is necessary for the Active Directory? directory service to locate network resources.
