Often in the middle of a very important work we pick up our phone just check one tiny notification for just-a-second, and without realising we end wasting 15-20 mins just scrolling our screen. This is a very common problem which we don’t even recognise because it has integrated to our habit so deeply that it’s now part of our subconscious mind. In the age of social media where everyone seeking that one like that one comment as a sign of approval of their existence and this has programmed our mind to automate the process of keep going back to our screen, as a result we just don’t end up less productive but we also get anxity, lower confidence, mediocre etc..
We have a very short spam of focus, it take lots of efforts to work with full concentration and with constant notifications or urge to check social media further decreases our productivity. We start procrastinating to a label where we end losing all our motivation to become successful, high performer, achiver etc..?
I am managing two companies, raising a kid, regularly working out, travel and all that without cutting on my leisure activities like watching movies, weekend hangout, bike rides etc.. So when you are working out do not check your emails, when your checking your emails keep social media/phone silent and when making business presentation do not take team calls/keep phone on airplane mode. Applying this simple tactics can increase your productivity two to three times. Moreover you will end up feeling in control of your life, more confident and will be able achieve greatness.
