I'm Kamal Khera , Head of Performance Marketing at RBL Bank , with over 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, and business analysis. Throughout my career, I've worked across leading financial institutions like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, and Citibank. My expertise lies in providing strategic insights to drive growth, optimize customer journeys, and enhance ROI.

What aspects of the ‘Shaping your digital strategy with Personalized Experiences’ session at DMWF Asia on the 26-27 February 2025, are you most excited about as a speaker?

I'm excited to explore the power of personalization in digital marketing. It's fascinating how creating tailored experiences for customers can drive engagement, loyalty, and conversions. I'll be sharing insights on how data and technology can help businesses shape more meaningful interactions with their audiences.

Which project from the past year stands out as your proudest achievement?

One of my proudest achievements this year was optimizing digital marketing strategies for acquisitions of our credit cards. By providing strategic insights into customer journeys and segmentation, we improved funnel conversions and significantly reduced acquisition costs, leading to higher ROI.

What marketing advancement and trend are you most enthusiastic about in the digital marketing landscape?

I’m particularly excited about the growth of AI and automation in digital marketing. The ability to deliver hyper-personalized experiences at scale through data-driven insights is transforming how we engage with customers. I believe this is a game-changer for marketers looking to drive results efficiently.

What single piece of advice would you give to a friend working in the digital marketing space?

My advice would be to focus on the customer journey. Understanding your audience’s needs at each touchpoint and using data to deliver relevant, personalized content is the key to successful marketing. Don’t just follow trends rather create experiences that resonate with your customers.

Lastly, could you share what is your favorite marketing campaign and why it resonates with you?

One marketing campaign that stood out to me is Apple’s "Shot on iPhone." It leverages user-generated content to showcase the capabilities of the iPhone camera. By inviting people to share their best photos and videos, Company not only highlights the impressive quality of the device but also taps into the emotional connection we all have with the moments we capture. The simplicity and authenticity of the campaign made it so powerful, and it really resonated with people. It showed that with the right tools, anyone can create extraordinary content, making it a campaign that feels personal and inspiring.
