Overview
DMPT is a highly effective, next-generation aquatic attractant. It's described as so effective that fish will attempt to bite stones coated with DMPT. The primary use of DMPT is as a fishing bait additive to enhance bait palatability and increase the likelihood of fish biting.
Functions
1. Attractant Effect
DMPT works by stimulating the olfactory receptors of aquatic animals, which are highly sensitive to low concentrations of chemical substances in water. Fish, shrimp, and crabs have an exceptional olfactory system that increases their feeding frequency. DMPT significantly promotes the feeding behavior and growth of various freshwater and marine fish and crustaceans. It increases the number of times aquatic animals bite bait, with its feeding stimulation effect being 2.55 times higher than that of glutamine, which was previously the most effective feeding stimulant.
2. High-Efficiency Methyl Donor and Growth Promoter
The (CH3)2S- group in DMPT acts as an efficient methyl donor, which aquatic animals utilize to promote the secretion of digestive enzymes, enhancing digestion and nutrient absorption, and improving feed efficiency.
3. Stress Resistance and Osmoregulation
DMPT enhances the stress resistance and osmoregulation abilities of aquatic animals, improving their tolerance to high temperatures and low oxygen conditions, thereby increasing the adaptability and survival rate of juvenile fish.
4. Molting Hormone-Like Activity
DMPT exhibits strong molting hormone-like activity, accelerating the molting process of shrimp and crabs, particularly in the later stages of their growth cycle. It promotes growth by acting as a water-soluble molting hormone analogue.
5. Liver Protection
DMPT protects the liver, improving the overall health status of aquatic animals, reducing the viscera/body weight ratio, and enhancing the edibility of the aquatic animals.
6. Meat Quality Improvement
DMPT improves the meat quality of cultured products, giving freshwater species a marine flavor, thereby increasing their economic value.
7. Antibacterial Properties
DMPT has similar health and antibacterial properties to allicin.

Product Characteristics
1. DMPT is a naturally occurring sulfur compound and a new type of aquatic attractant, with an attractant effect 2.56 times that of betaine, 1.42 times that of methylmethionine, and 1.56 times that of glutamine.
2. It promotes growth at a rate 2.5 times higher than semi-natural feed without attractants.
3.DMPT can improve the meat quality of cultured species, giving freshwater species a marine flavor and increasing their economic value.
4. It acts as a molting hormone for shrimp and crabs, significantly accelerating their molting process.
5. DMPT allows for greater utilization of relatively low-cost protein sources compared to fishmeal.
Usage and Residue Issues
Applicable Species
· Freshwater Fish: Carp, crucian carp, eel, loach, rainbow trout, tilapia, etc.
· Marine Fish: Large yellow croaker, red sea bream, turbot, etc.
· Crustaceans: Shrimp, crabs, etc.
Dosage
· Aquatic Feed: Shrimp: 300-400 g/ton; Fish: 100-200 g/ton.
· Fishing Bait: 0.5-1g, especially effective in spring, summer, and autumn when water temperatures are higher and oxygen levels are low.
DMPT performs well in low-oxygen water, attracting more fish for extended periods. It can be added directly or indirectly to various feed forms, including premixed and concentrated feeds, and is not limited to aquatic feeds but also includes fishing bait.
Residue Issues
DMPT is a naturally occurring substance in aquatic animals, so there are no residue concerns, making it safe for long-term use.
