We're through the long dark nights and the daffodils have started to appear on the daily drive into work! After what seems like 12 months of Winter, Spring has finally sprung!
So what's been going on at DLR Elastomer Engineering this last few months?
We've recently launched our Green EPDM range, which is produced using over 95% sustainable raw materials.
From the base EPDM polymer to the filler package, over 95% of the content come from renewable, sustainable sources and with mechanical properties comparable to crude oil derived EPDM it's becoming a popular choice with our customers.
On the 24th February, DLR Elastomer Engineering Ltd sponsored a great night of musical theatre laid on by The Spirit of Broadway Organisation at St. Thomas' Church, Stockton Heath, in aid of Alder Hey Children's Charity
One of the event organisers (our best male vocalist and possibly our 2nd best golfer ) Alan Tyson took to the stage as part of the ensemble cast and also delivering stellar solo performances. The event was also supported by many other generous sponsors along with donations including signed football shirts for raffle and auction.
The final sum raised has not yet been released, but with the sponsorship, ticket sales and fundraising on the night it's currently hovering around the £9000 mark! Reports from the DLR team that attended was that it was a great night of high class entertainment! Those that attended and the whole team here at DLR Elastomer Engineering would like to thank Alan and his fellow volunteers for putting on such a great night and raising funds for such a great cause.

The Friday Fun Quiz
We've been running a quiz every Friday for the last few months.
Rather than publishing length technical articles, we like to set a challenge each week to try and share a little knowledge about rubber. We can see more and more of our followers are taking part each week, but we'd also like to know what you think? Are we pitching the questions at the right level or would you prefer a more detailed, in depth discussion piece or technical article?
Let us know your thoughts by commenting below or leaving us a comment alongside the Friday Fun Quiz.
