Pumped storage power plants are essential in the energy transition towards more renewable energy. Dlouhe Strane is a special one: It features largest reversing turbines in Europe (325 MW each), highest water head in the Czech Republic and largest installed hydroelectric power in the Czech Republic (650 MW).
