Mobile Money Report 2023

The GSMA's "State of the Industry Report on Mobile Money 2023" was released last week. Transaction values grew by 22% between 2021 and 2022 from $1 trillion to around $1.26 trillion!

While a large portion of the adoption is attributed to the pandemic, the registrations for accounts still sped up (and continue to do so) as the pandemic eased. The critical data shown in the report is a testament to the growing need for local, simple payment solutions in emerging markets.

dLocal is happy to be part of the solution.
