DIY Hacks for any "Horrible Day"

Hack your mind. Just like anything you come across in the world your mind isn't a foolproof engine. So few hacks to artificially set the mood and manipulate your mind would make life a lot more easier. I will explain this further and use few instances that I have come across in my life.
Though you wish life to be predictable and smooth it's definitely not so any day. Any day can be as horrible day as it ever can be. But sometimes you'll have a list of priorities that doesn't excuse you to thoroughly enjoy a bad day with screaming on pillow and eating an entire chocolate ice cream tub in a go. So yes, you need to hang on and go on. For me what worked today was a couple of jokes with close buddies. It cheered me up instantly and reminded me I don't have to title 24 hours "horrible" just because of the 30 minutes that didn't go as planned. Music, meditation, prayers, writing, workout, walk etc., are others in the constantly updated list of my horrible day hacks.
And to garnish I constantly practice gratitude and remind myself that nothing stays forever. Five years down the lane this is not going to matter at all. So should I bother spending the valuable time at hand? Hack your way through bad days so that any day is a well-lived day.
