Dixie Fire
As numerous fires still rage throughout Northern California, the Dixie fire continues as more acreage goes up in flames and in its path, small towns along the way. California Executives toured Plumas County this past Wednesday, specifically Greenville as we collectively assured both Plumas and Lassen County Representatives, state resources have already begun the process to rebuild. As we all walked Main Street, the smoke and ash was still blowing in the light breeze as we gazed at the destroyed Post Office, County Library, a multi generational owned Pharmacy, along with the Plumas County Sheriff’s Substation, along with every other building once standing in Greenville.......ALL razed to the ground. To view this on TV absolutely pales in comparison to being there, on the ground and listening to Sheriff Johns explain those hours leading up to Greenville’s annihilation. The merging of Fire & Rescue, Law Enforcement and Emergency Management progresses with my Counterparts, as fire suppression continues, law enforcement mutual aid is maintained and moving forward, with emergency management from the state assisting to rebuild Greenville and all impacted areas.
Greenville must look surreal right now!
