Diwali is the festival of victory of good over evil,

Light dispels the darkness, the story is primeval.

Celebrated in India, with the lighting of the diya,

From darkness to light, Tamasoma jyotirgamaya!

While the festival is celebrated with firecrackers, candles and lights,

There is another darkness being dispelled, I’d like to bring to your sight.

A torch has been lit and many are the folks, holding it up high,

To spread the light to all of humanity, these souls honestly try.
