DIVINE PROVISION IN DESPERATE TIMES.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

? Jeremiah 29:6 ?

?"Elisha replied, 'Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.'”

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

In our lives, we sometimes face situations that seem insurmountable or circumstances that drain our hope and challenge our faith. Yet, like the people of Samaria, we are reminded today that God's promises surpass any human limitation. He is a God of abundance, restoration, and timely deliverance.

?Samaria was under siege, facing severe famine. The situation was so dire that people were resorting to cannibalism. This was a moment of extraordinary hope in the midst of utter despair. It was in this very situation of extreme crisis that Elisha delivered God's promise of abundant provision—within just 24 hours!

With our human limitations, this promise seems impossible, even laughable. How could a city transition from famine to abundance overnight? Yet, this is precisely the point. God specialises in the impossible.

This verse reminds us that no situation is too desperate for God's intervention. When all human hope is lost and circumstances seem beyond redemption, that's often when God chooses to display His power most dramatically.

Today's devotion reminds me of what God did for me during the COVID-19 Pandemic. How was I going to run our Community? Those supporting us stopped giving. My daughter and my brother living with me lost their jobs. The world was on lockdown. I had some families and over hundred widows I supported with money for business? food and clothings for their families. But God said, “I will feed you, like never before. “I will do a new thing.”.

A brother who always mocks me at every opportunity for becoming a minister of the Gospel... as he escaped back to the USA many years ago from a monastery, so he won't become a Catholic priest, was who God chose to use.

?He said to send him a list of everything I will love to eat and I want..blank cheque! We wrote and wrote and listed and listed!?

He asked me, Is that all? I added more to the list again and said it was okay. He sent all and more. Before the last one finishes, another set will come in for us and some other families throughout the lockdown period and months after. I was able to feed other families too!?God made it possible for him to support so many families with all he had instock for sales .

Another sent me money every month to cover my bills for the same period. They were not even believers. GOD CAN AND HE WILL. May God continue to bless them beyond boundaries in Jesus Christ's Mighty Name.?

The specificity of God's promise is striking. He doesn't just say things will get better; He provides exact quantities and timeframes. This demonstrates God's complete control over the situation and His attention to detail in our lives.

This verse calls us to action in several ways:

• It challenges us to believe God's promises, even when they seem impossible.
• It encourages us to look for God's provision, especially in our most desperate moments.
• It invites us to be bearers of hope, like Elisha, speaking God's promises into seemingly hopeless situations.

Today, what impossible situation are you facing? What area of your life seems beyond hope? Let this verse inspire you to trust in God's ability to provide abundantly and suddenly. Remember, your current circumstances don't limit God's power to intervene. Amen.

3) Almighty God, increase my faith to believe in Your abundant provision. Use me to speak hope into desperate situations around me. In Jesus Christ's Mighty Name, amen.
