THE GLOBAL WATER DATA PLATFORM TO REDUCE WATER RISKS. WATER DATA, SIMPLIFIED.
A Storms a Coming ??
This month we’ve seen so many tragic storms, each leaving its mark on communities that continue to face the growing challenge of extreme weather. In Valencia, ???? relentless floods have upended lives and homes, showing how quickly a city can be overwhelmed by these unpredictable patterns. Our deepest sympathies are with the community, as well as the responders who are stepping up to protect residents in this critical time.
On the other side of the world, Hurricane Milton hit Florida, ???? just after the recent impact of Hurricane Helene, complicating recovery efforts with successive storm surges and challenging water levels. Milton’s unexpected path toward Sarasota County showed us how distinct hydrological effects like #reversestormsurge can impact areas differently—even when they’re only miles apart. This illustrates the critical need for wider data coverage along our coastlines to better understand and respond to these intense storms.
We’re committed to bringing you timely updates and deep analysis as we continue monitoring these events. Each storm highlights the urgency of our mission to help communities prepare, adapt, and build resilience against the water risks of tomorrow. Stay tuned for more insights as we learn more.
??? Events. Events. And....more Events ??
Climate Change Week ??
One of our amazing data scientists Amy Piscopo brought back powerful insights from this year's #ClimateWeekNYC hosted by Climate Group, where the theme was clear: reliable data is key to meaningful climate action. Across fields like hydrology, accurate and diverse data enables models that inform flood forecasts and community safety. At Divirod, we’re committed to closing data gaps and enhancing sensor coverage to support more equitable, impactful climate adaptation decisions so attending this event was not only insightful and educational, but also extremely inspiring ??
SAS Campionship ??
Fresh from the SAS Championship, Robert Wykoff and Javier Marti shared eye-opening insights on the future of #AI, driven by trustworthy, #well-governeddata. With discussions around the power of AI governance, energy-efficient #ASICs, and the importance of tailoring policies to company values, it’s clear that intentional, ethical tech use is key to sustainable innovation. Thank you to the SAS team for the incredible opportunity to learn and connect—we can't wait for next year. We're definetly ready for more golf ??????♂?

Extra Extra ???
?? This October we celebrated #InternationalDayofClimateAction! A reminder that while it’s only one day on the calendar, the need for action is constant. Climate action isn’t just about one day or one initiative; it’s about what we’re doing every day to educate ourselves, to push for change, and to think about the future we want to create. The truth is, action can’t wait—there’s so much to be done right now to make a real difference.
?? Happy halloween to those who celebrate! From our adorable company mascot Emil ??, to you!
