Divided ! We Are Better!
Stay together , be a team , in togetherness lies the wisdom and being united is being strength full. We all have heard these statements , I have also believed in them all these days but lately , the reflection is different , making me rethink.
Is disintegration necessary for bigger and wider integration ?
Is integration for long constrains growth?
A vintage integration brings atrophy in certain element of the system ?
A United family beyond a point brings inertia to growth?
Business driven by Family disintegrate for growth?
Family driven businesses may stop growing or may die , if the disintegration does not happen at an appropriate time?

Divided Family and Businesses grow faster and wider ?
Can disintegrating , a well integrated system,? be a strategy . Are there examples in life sciences where a system gets integrated and over a period of time starts getting in to inefficiencies , complacencies and complexities. It stops flowing seamlessly? and the energy in the system starts getting mis directed and dissipated.
There are lot of organisations, family driven and most of the business decision are made with in the family. Family as a unit takes pride in stating it to the world that , its all hunky dory and they are united. These organisations have made excellent progress and many of these have crossed 100 Cr mark. One member takes care of finance , other operations and other marketing and sales. Professionals are neither sourced or if sourced are more of cosmetics. They betray ruthlessly the Steve Jobs statement “ we hire smart people to tell us what to do , we do not hire smart people to tell them what to do”.The growth is attributed to the point that the family is been together and integrated. Entire family gets coverage in the media for being united for two generation but the division and the right division is the need.
I think? being united is retarding , over time comfort and trust levels go so high that the danger is completely ignored or not seen. The divided competencies and fragmented experience poses challenge to growth. The unrealistic and irrelevant experience of the members brings obsoleteness. All this happens slow leading to business falling and then family falling. I think the trick lies in ‘time’ and ‘context’ , means when and in what format the disintegration needs to be brought in.
Communities , Sects , Cults , States and Nations get dis integrated and any growth would need this division. I think that is how , we have Brahma for creation , Vishnu for maintenance and Shiva to destruct.
Think about it and disintegrate to create new , better , wider and more sustainable.

1 年????? ???? ??, but what you saying may be contextually correct. I see this as extension and not disintegration. From joint family ,people move to other places and create extension, rooted to same values , create wealth , prosperity and the ????? gets more prominence.Being adaptive to realities may not lead to disintegration always ??? ??? ?????? ????!!

1 年Nirmal Singh Raghav Disintegrate is to integrate, So true. In Business, many examples, Marico is one such example, just recently Vedanta has announced disintegration in to six companies, sometimes one does it to expand, or for survive.
