A Journey of Passion and Purpose

Traci's career started at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where she honed her skills in accounting and finance. Her career took a significant turn when she joined Verizon 22 years ago. Beginning in the compensation department, she climbed the ranks through various executive roles, including Vice President of Compensation and Executive Director of HR Business Strategy.

Her story is one of perseverance and support. Winning a full scholarship to Florida A&M University was a pivotal moment, earning her both undergraduate and MBA degrees. Traci attributes her success to her supportive family, influential mentors, and her fearless approach to taking calculated risks.

Championing DE&I at Verizon

At Verizon, Traci is on a mission to create a workplace that reflects the diversity of our world. Here’s a peek into some of the transformative initiatives she’s spearheading:

  • Supplier Diversity: Traci is at the helm of a $5 billion supplier diversity program, ensuring Verizon’s suppliers are as diverse as its customer base.
  • Disability Advisory Board: This initiative is dedicated to making Verizon’s products and services accessible to all, embracing the needs of differently-abled individuals.
  • Financial Wellness Programs: Understanding the importance of financial health, Verizon has rolled out a financial wellness platform to help employees manage their finances and improve their overall well-being.

Traci believes in holding leaders accountable for inclusivity. Verizon’s "Foster Inclusion" leadership principle does just that, integrating inclusivity into performance reviews and ensuring it’s a core value for all leaders.
