Is your manager impacting your mental health????
According to a study by The Workforce Institute at UKG, almost 70% of people say their manager affects their mental health just as much as their partner,?as reported by Vice.
We spend?a lot?of our time at work (perhaps more time than with our partners), so it’s no surprise that if we’re stressed out by work, or the people there ??, it can negatively impact our lives.
What are people doing about it?
People aren’t as willing to stay in jobs which make them unhappy. According to a study by PwC,?a quarter of workers?are looking to change their jobs this year.
Sarah Moore, head of people and organisation at PwC, said:?
“It’s clear that workplace dissatisfaction looms large, with pay, workload and overall fulfilment at the top of employees’ minds.”
Now more than ever, people are looking for employers who prioritise wellbeing, flexible working and career progression, so organisations who offer this are more likely to reap the benefits of employee loyalty.

What's?not in the news?
While this mesmerising story is front page news, last week a boat that held 800 refugees?sank off the Greek coast. Hundreds are feared dead, including many children. Consider the different way the media and authorities have treated both cases, and which you have heard about the most.

Elon Musk thinks "cis" is a slur
Musk, owner of Twitter, has said anyone using the term could?be suspended from the social media site.
What does it mean?
"Cis" or "cisgender" simply means that your gender identity aligns with what was assigned to you at birth.
Why is he wrong?
The term was coined by?Dana Defosse in 1993 and?added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2015. "It exists, and it has meaning in how we operate in the world,”?says Defosse. The term is important and necessary when discussing?gender identity. The?discomfort around "cisgender" is mostly down, we'd argue, to those who believe cisgender people are the 'normal' ones and rooted in transphobia.
