DEI Impact
A new LSE report,?Not Bad for Business, by Teresa Almeida and Dr Grace Lordan, explores the connection between?diversity, equity, and inclusion and business performance.?The report presents a new way to measure DEI using employee reviews, providing insights into how it can affect long-term business results.

Disability
According to research,?disabled individuals, especially women with invisible disabilities, face stigma in workplace negotiations. This interesting study finds that these individuals are often perceived as less competent and trustworthy,?highlighting the need for employers to address bias. Read more here.

Gender Stereotypes
A study from?Stanford University shows that online images, for example on Google Images, reinforce gender stereotypes. Men were more often shown in science and tech, while women appeared in liberal arts roles, worsening people’s biased perceptions about men and women.

Workplace Harassment
A recent report from global mining company?Rio Tinto highlights a rise in sexual assault and bullying reports within the company, despite efforts to improve workplace culture. The review found that bullying against women increased,?partly due to retaliation against diversity and inclusion initiatives. Read more here.
