Diversify April Newsletter
Hello everyone ??
In April, we’re celebrating Autism Acceptance Month. This month is dedicated to promoting acceptance of autism as a natural neurological variation rather than a learning or mental health disability, whilst celebrating the individual differences of autistic people as each individual with autism experiences it distinctively.
Here at Diversify, we are constantly working towards inclusion of the 100%, by ensuring space for?Neurodiversity Inclusion, and also accounting for?individuals whose neurodiverse identities intersect with other identities, such as race, gender, sexual orientation, that compounds their experience of the world.?
We are challenging stereotypes, unlearning ableist attitudes and behaviours and are committed to dismantling ableism in society and workplaces. To this regard, the topic for our D&I in the Workplace discussion in April is Ableism.?Join us?online on April 26 at 13.00 CEST. As usual, it is free to attend.
Another exciting event coming up is in partnership with?the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, and collaborators like Telenor and DNB! We will discuss How to?Amplify LGBTQIA+ Inclusion in Society and Workplace.?Join us?on April 25 at The Hub, Telenor Fornebu.

Seats are limited?so register as soon as you can to join us in person!?You can also join us digitally.
With April here, we’re a few months away from the?Diversify Nordics Summit (DNS), which will focus on Diversity and Inclusion through an Equity, Justice and Intersectional Lens this year. As you can imagine, preparations are in full swing for DNS 2023. We’re in the process of finalising speakers, partners and the program line-up for the event. So if your company is keen to?sponsor or partner with the largest and most impactful?conference on DEIB in the Nordics,?write to us at?[email protected].

Welcome to Episode 11 of 'Is Everyone In The Room?' In this episode, we are exploring the intricacies of disability inclusion. One of the many things that the COVID pandemic has taught us is that work can be redefined and it can be much more flexible and inclusive for all than we ever imagined. We discuss?what can companies and businesses do to incorporate and include persons with disabilities in their workspaces? How can employers understand the barriers that discourage people with disabilities from working for them? How might we play a part in dismantling ableism??
These and many more questions will be addressed by our three very insightful panelists: Lucy Mason, Gagan Chhabra, and Chisom Udeze. Listen Here
