Diversity -?be it in ?terms of gender, age, race, nationality, and in remote work, even country of origin and first language spoken!?- is important in business.?Of course,?this is because we all know that everyone deserves the same opportunities to succeed in whatever career they want.

Recent studies?actually prove that more diverse businesses experience higher cash flow, and profitability. Conversely, less diverse business suffer financially. The market value of public companies is also proven to increase with diversity.?

Employer brand is essential to gain the best talent - and studies prove that people DO care about Diversity and Inclusion strategy, or D&I.??For example, in a 2015 study by PwC, a huge 86% of female and 74% of male millennials considered a company’s D&I policy when deciding their employer of choice. As millennials are the future, it's time for companies to get in shape!

  • Higher employee retention

People want to stay at a company where they feel like they belong. It may seem small to recognise a wide range of holidays; make allowances for different languages spoken; consider other cultures when making sweeping statements - but it is the important awareness of the others that avoids an 'us' and 'them' attitude, and encourages people to stay and grow in our team.?
