Smalls Success Stories: From Cans to Conquests

One of our earliest multi-unit adopters, Matt Gallagher, has been instrumental in our new market expansion. With a 40-year career in the restaurant industry and experience as a multi-brand franchisee with Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux and Outback Steakhouse, Gallagher saw BIG potential in Smalls from the start. He was the first to bring our brand outside Louisiana with plans for 5 Cans in the Jackson, Mississippi market, including a top performing Can in Flowood, which opened in December 2023. Gallagher didn’t stop there—he's also helping with our expansion into Florida with four Cans set for Pensacola and three more for the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.

Smalls Sliders presents a unique opportunity for established operating groups to further solidify a diverse multi-brand portfolio. Take Om Texas, for example, a multi-brand hospitality group, led by Kalpesh Patel and Gaurav Aggarwal. Their combined QSR experience includes 400+ locations and features notable brands like Dunkin’?, Wingstop?, Jimmy John’s?, Smoothie King?, QDOBA Mexican Eats?, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe?. Recognizing the untapped potential in the cheeseburger slider segment, they’re signed on to drop five Cans in Northeast Metro Dallas and another nine in South Texas, with plans for additional locations in new markets.

With top-tier operators by our side, Smalls Sliders has rapidly disrupted the QSR industry, selling out six states in just over a year of franchising.
