A Dive into the categories of the Internet!

The Internet is full of easy access to information where all of us can view the topics of our own interest and gain/learn information. Internet is global wide network system connecting billions of computer devices across the world

You have frequently heard about Wireless, Broadband and Dedicated Leased Line. Here I will take you through the categories of the Internet.

Most of our internet experience happens through web browsers. The web is divided into those 3 categories: Surface-Deep-Dark.  

SURFACE WEB:

The Surface web is a usual & normal web, which will be visible to all common internet users where we do all our regular day-to-day activities. Those websites are indexed by all search engines (Google search, Bing search, etc.) which can be accessed through standard web browsers (Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Firefox , Safari, etc.)

Also, if you are reading this blog then you are exploring the surface web.

 DEEP WEB: 

The deep web is not accessible for normal users and it is not indexed by search engines.A specific user must log in to a specific URL, using a unique user name, password, etc.

Internet banking and Social media are Deep Web. 

In simple words, web content cannot be accessed by search engines but can be accessed if you have a user account or address.

DARK WEB: 

The most dangerous part of the internet is the Dark Web or Darknet.            

Initially, it was used to protect privacy and freedom of speech. Now, Dark Web is mainly used for illegal and nefarious activities. Those websites are not indexed by search engines and cannot be accessed by usual browsers.

Dark Web Browsers hide the location and prevent the traffic from being tracked.
