?Today we are going to Configure Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) in VMware environment.

?What is DRS?

·?DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) works on a cluster of ESXi hosts

?Steps to configure DRS

1. Log in to your vSphere Web Client with administrative credentials.
2. Navigate to the cluster you want to configure DRS for in the vSphere Web Client.
3. Click on the “Configure” tab.
4. Under “Settings”, click on “vSphere DRS”.
5. Click on “Edit” to adjust DRS settings.
6. Select “Fully Automated” for the DRS Automation Level. This allows DRS to automatically balance resource utilization across the cluster.
7. Set the Migration Threshold to the desired level. This determines how aggressively DRS will move virtual machines to balance resources.
8. Enable or disable DRS for virtual machine distribution by checking or unchecking the box next to “Virtual Machines”.
9. Review and adjust additional DRS options such as VM Overrides, Migration Limits, and Virtual Machine Affinity Rules as needed.
10. Click “OK” to save your changes.
11. DRS will now be configured for the cluster, and will automatically balance resource utilization across the cluster.
