The Distillers' Charity Impact Report

On Thursday 16 March, The Distillers’ Charity launched its 2022 Impact Report at an event attended by supporters and beneficiary charities at The Merchants’ Hall in Edinburgh.

The report unveiled the scale of work undertaken in the last year to help transform the lives of the most disadvantaged young people in Scotland, which was made possible thanks to the success of the 2021 Distillers One of One Auction Series in raising over ￡ 2.4 million charitable funds.

Nearly 500 disadvantaged young people benefitted from grants awarded by the charity through the Youth Action Fund last year, with more than half of those going on to secure employment, apprenticeships, further education, training, or work as volunteers.

The broad reach and influence of the Youth Action Fund also mean its work covered 26 of Scotland’s 32 local authority areas and that hundreds of young people went on to gain jobs or embark on training, education or volunteering.

In October, the second in a series of biennial auctions of one-of-a-kind, rare Scotch Whiskies will take place to raise vital funds to help disadvantaged young people in Scotland.
