Our recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune . Our joint effort focused on enhancing the teaching capabilities of educators, thereby creating a ripple effect that positively impacted students across the region.

Supporting teachers in their STEM skilling journeys

In this collaborative endeavor of strengthening STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) foundations to create brilliant engineers in the future, Winjit teamed up with IISER to conduct a comprehensive training program aimed at empowering a batch of 40+ secondary and higher secondary teachers to make learning STEM subjects interesting and desirable with advanced teaching methodologies and techniques, equipping them with innovative tools and strategies to enhance their classroom practices and engage students more effectively? STEM Subjects.

Preparing for Tomorrow

What makes this initiative particularly impactful is its cascading effect. The 40 teachers who underwent training served as catalysts for change within their respective schools, sharing their newfound knowledge and skills with their colleagues. Moving away from conventional text book and blackboard based 2 dimensional teaching to a more hands on spatial learning system with teaching aids designed to improve comprehension.? As a result, approximately 160 additional teachers were indirectly influenced by the program, benefiting from the expertise and insights gained by their peers.

STEM Education for a Future-Ready Community

The ripple effect of our CSR activity extends even further as each trained teacher, on average, impacts 3 to 4 colleagues within their school. This tertiary impact translates into a significant reach, with an estimated 8,000+ students benefiting from the enhanced teaching practices introduced through the program. That's an average of 200 students per school experiencing a more enriching and engaging learning environment.
