Is Disney the ideal employer?

In addition to its brand image with big ears, its Americanization and its vision to do business with other companies with the purchase of Pixar, Marvel or even more recently Century Fox which could tend to a monopoly of mainstream films but also to a straight conductive line and without deviation on its way. Today, what could make people want to work for Disney with an image that symbolizes a double face: that of fairy tale and original creation or that of the great multinational corporation that is buying billions of licenses and the spirit of cinema, a symbol of generations whose culture is directly associated with many important films?

So what to choose? Not everything is black or white, of course. And those who say otherwise are not objective because they are themselves directly affected by a heart problem.

Do you want an opinion on working conditions at Disneyland Paris? But who to ask?

Because if you do your own research, you will notice that your choices are more than limited. Indeed you are looking on sites with 3 opinions of 2012 rather simple and without much information. LinkedIn? What if you are young and have no contact with people working at Disney?

Then you return to the Disney website praising its benefits and the working conditions offered with trainees and employees and their ultra bright smile. Wohoo, is that the Americanization of a society and the straight line proposed by Disney?

So you will tell me, it is not new and so much the better that it promotes the well-being of people and many companies do it. Except today, who should I believe? With the multiplication of information, you are told that this is true and two hours later everything is denied. Then you come back to reliable sources, people who count around you because nothing beats the feeling of a person we know who will tell us the truth and what is good for us.

Except that unlike many companies, Disney has a factor that others do not. Affects it, we always come back to the problem of people's non-objectivity. And that's the problem. I have friends, family, who work or have worked at Disney. But for what reasons? Well only because Disney makes you dream and it's like an achievement when you start working in the parent company where your dreams and those of others were conceived. So obviously, the people who spoke to me were not in a availity position, but they were all singing the praises of the infrastructure and what they were doing. I had the impression that for some, finally they felt important in their work and that they were a complete piece for the huge merry-go-round and finally that's what all companies should be. But is Disney really the ideal employer? Is there an ideal employer?

Unfortunately, I don't have the answer yet. You may have it, but above all this notion of ideal must change according to the people. Nevertheless, when I see friends driving miles, hours of driving with traffic jams every day to come to work in their dreams, you can say to yourself that the passion mixed with work is something incredible. And even if it lacks objectivity, it leads to curiosity.

Today, who can align themselves with the Disney model and its management in France? I don't see many... Isn't the American model, the famous Big Brother, something to test? Because after all, Man is made to search, to discover. Today, we know this model but who really tested it in France? Apart from Disney enthusiasts and high-ranking people to whom we don't necessarily have access?

I myself, like many others, have been rocked by Disney songs, we have played with Disney toys, we have watched Disney, all marked by something that has permeated our culture and identity.

Today, I want to work at Disney because I am passionate but even more curious. Like any Man, I seek new sensations or new functions that could bring something to my well-being. What could be better than to listen to others and make your own opinion while obviously taking into account your passion and emotions but also keeping in mind that a company is made to produce a turnover. Don't go with any a priori and just discover.

Disney's creativity and imagination made me dream as a child and it makes me dream even more today, especially since I was able to study as a graphic designer. Working with a creative team from different backgrounds is a goal in itself and creating and continuing the Disney universe would be a great opportunity.

That's why today I'm applying as a graphic designer, director artistic assistant in the big machine that is Disney.
