Discussing carbon with our supply chain
As part of our Decarbonising Communities strategy, we are working in collaboration with our supply chain to influence the way buildings are designed and constructed, to reduce the amount of carbon associated with each built asset.
On the 11th March we carried out our second carbon collaboration session with our NW supply chain partners.?This time we discussed carbon in in-situ concrete frames.?The forum was held at Morgan Sindall’s offices in Salford where we invited: Heyrod Construction (Dennis Cagney), Cidon Construction (Dave Robinson), J Reddington along (Dea Dalipi) with Hanson Concrete (Adam Birkinshaw and George Swannell), to collaborate, upskill and share ideas about how we can all help to reduce and evidence the amount of embodied carbon within our buildings.
During the forum, we discussed the issues surrounding carbon within our industry, the relevance of reviewing carbon data from manufacturers, how this effects the concrete industry and how our supply chain can help us, through relationships and collaboration, to reduce carbon in our concrete frames.
Driving collaboration in the Design, Engineering, Manufacture & Installation of top class permanent & temporary space solutions for events, commercial, emergency response and defence use.
