Discriminative AI is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that categorizes and distinguishes data to classify information. It does this by learning the boundaries between different classes in a dataset, and then using that knowledge to make accurate predictions based on input data.?

Discriminative AI is useful for a variety of tasks, including:?

  • Sentiment analysis: Helps organizations analyze sentiment and identify trends
  • Image classification: Classifies images
  • Named-entity recognition: Recognizes named entities
  • Optical character recognition: Recognizes optical characters

Discriminative AI models are different from generative AI models, which create new data instances. Discriminative AI models are reliable tools for strategic tasks because they focus on factual analysis and don't generate misleading information
