"When you see differently, you think differently, then you discover"

- Tayo Akiwumi, founder, SpaceVee

There are many recorded and famous viewpoints on the nature of discovery. One of my favourite is “Discovery consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and thinking something different.” Albert Szent Gyorgi, a Nobel laureate. Another, correctly or wrongly attributed to Albert Einstein, is “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”. However, these are only parts of what I consider the essence of the nature of discovery.

I believe that if any of our known senses of sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste is stimulated differently, it will cause us to think differently and lead to discovery at some level. In regards to the above two quotes for example, you may be looking at the same thing as everyone else, but it is only by 'seeing' the same thing differently that the motion of discovery gets started. It is also possible to get different results even while doing the same thing over and over again beause the environment in which you are doing this same thing is in constant state of change. That will cause you to ultimately get a different result despite you doing the same thing over and over again. A gust of wind, an unexpected knock on the door, unforeseen 'contamination' of a test sample and so on can all cause variable outcome from repetitive action.

An example using drone, satellite and other aerial imagery

This article about SpaceVee and Soar.earth (with which SpaceVee is partnering) describes the driving mantra behind SpaceVee. When you see differently, it causes you to think differently and opens the door for discovery.

SpaceVee's unique technology provides the ability to visualize in a different way from the norm. In almost any industry, visualization through visual barriers is strongly desired and sought. Obvious ones include, crop management, defence, security, self-driving vehicles, search & rescue, mining, oil & gas exploration and more. Even in the unexpected sectors such as insurance, finance, real-estate, construction and more, seeing beyond barriers of haze, smoke, fog, road ice, rain, dust and more can make all the difference.

So in summary, to discover, let's put ourselves in a position where we allow ourselves to truly see differently, the rest will follow.

It's a big win for us to have specialists like Spacevee exploring the capabilities in Soar for showcasing their abilities!

This is very cool Tayo! Keep up the quality work.
