Discovering Different Views on Good and Evil: My Personal Journey

Growing up in a Hindu household, I was taught to see the world in a certain way. Right and wrong were defined for me through religious teachings and cultural norms. But as I got older and started experiencing life outside of my comfort zone, I realized that what I once believed to be absolute truths were far from it.

I've met people from all walks of life - different cultures, religions, and countries. And what I learned through these interactions is that everyone has their own version of what's right and wrong. It was eye-opening to see that what I considered to be good could be seen as evil to someone else, and vice versa. It made me question everything I thought I knew.

One of the most surprising things I discovered was how time can change our views on good and evil. I saw how certain actions that were once condemned are now accepted and even celebrated. It's a reminder that what we consider to be right and wrong is subjective and can change as society evolves.

Another thing I realized was how location can shape our views. I've been to countries where things that are considered taboo in my culture are completely normal. It showed me that what we see as good and evil is not universal, but rather shaped by the people and cultures around us.

I wouldn't say that my journey has led me to any conclusions, but rather it's opened my eyes to the complexities of good and evil. I still hold onto my cultural and religious beliefs, but I also recognize that there's so much more to this topic than just black and white.

In the end, what I've learned is that there's no right or wrong answer to this question. Our views on good and evil are shaped by a combination of our experiences, beliefs, and the world around us. And that's okay. It's important to keep an open mind and recognize that what we consider to be good and evil may not be the same for everyone.
