Human interactions have never been simple to understand. The complexities of them require special attention not just in personal life but also in professional life. The organizations have continuously faced challenges with the human resource, hence it is imperative to find an approach that integrates human interactions in the industrial environment. A flexible approach also might prove effective wherein organizations get an in-depth contextual understanding of human interactions.?
Human attributes have been studied largely in the clinical context. The article elaborates on the various discoveries in the field of organizational psychology such as motivation, employee wellbeing, employee attrition, performance enhancement, recruitment, etc and the change in them. Along with this change, a much larger breakthrough is seen in terms of technology, awareness, and globalization.?
There is a constant radical change in the corporate world because of technology, the essence of human interaction is diminishing. An emphasis on coming up with newer ways of recruitment, training, identifying new stressors, identifying different and better need based leadership styles is highly important. But along with that, realizing the power of human interaction, the barriers of technology and how technology can help in advancing better human interactions should be studied with a higher priority.?
The field of Industrial Psychology has ongoing research in various subject areas to bring forth more efficient ways of increasing productivity and enhancing employee well-being. The article also sheds light on some important questions regarding what the future holds for the field of I/O psychology, something which is less explored and needs more attention. Understanding how human interaction will evolve with the change in environments, technology, emerging cultures, change in ethical practices etc. are extremely vital to take into account. Making use of the advances in the field and furthering the research base is called for.
