Discover Your Leadership Style: A Framework for Transformational Leadership Exploration

What kind of leader do you see yourself as?

When I pose this question, reactions vary.

Some respond defensively, while others take a moment to reflect.

True leaders, however, fall into the latter category.

Throughout my nearly three decades of studying and speaking on leadership, I've come to understand that defensiveness is a formidable barrier to authentic leadership.

In my book, "The Mystique of Leadership ," I emphasized that fostering a culture where employees feel empowered to respectfully question decisions and actions is essential for true leadership to thrive. Without such a culture, organizations remain in the dark.

Put simply, the culture of an organization reflects the leadership style of those in positions of authority. It hinges on the efforts made to cultivate a work environment free of fear and anxiety, one that celebrates diversity in all its forms and champions inclusion and equity for all.
