Discover the Majestic Amin Pass: A Journey of Adventure and Culture

Hello, fellow adventurers!

I’m excited to share my recent experience at the breathtaking Amin Pass, standing tall at 5,050 meters. This journey is more than just a trek; it’s a celebration of exploration that began back in 2007 with a team of 11 Italians and 40 dedicated Pakistani porters and staff. Fast forward to 2024, and I’m back with 16 Italian trekkers, 50 porters, and 7 skilled staff members. This time, I’m especially proud to have my son, Azhar Amin, by my side—who was just two years old during our first expedition.

Our porters from Skardu and Naltar Valley in Gilgit bring their rich cultural heritage to our adventure. At the same time, local trekkers from Ishkoman have opted out due to the challenging nature of the terrain. However, the Amin Pass is a stunning journey that rivals other renowned trails in northern Pakistan, such as the Biafo Hispar Snow Lake and Mazino Pass near Nanga Parbat.

Many may not realize that Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral are home to some of the world’s most beautiful yet underrated tourist destinations. Our trek offers panoramic views of the famous Wakhan Corridor and Broghil Valley and the mesmerizing Korumbar area. From Ghotolti in Ishkoman to Zindhikharam Pass and Darkot Yasin, you’ll encounter lush meadows, dense forests, cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, and majestic glaciers, all framed by the stunning Hindukush mountains.

Throughout this journey, you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with local communities and experience the rich cultures of the Hindukush mountain people. Their warmth and hospitality are truly beyond compare.
