Hey, everyone. I am Adam Hancock, host of the Florida Relocation Guide and founder of the Sunshine State Company Real Estate Brokerage. In this brand new video series, I'm going to walk you through what's unique, what is special and overall amazing about the Sarasota Florida area, 30 days, 30 videos, every single morning, but that is not it. On day 31 live on YouTube, I am going to announce the winner of a Florida-inspired swag giveaway. The end of this video will show you the very simple way to get entered into that contest. You're not going to want to miss that. Without further ado, let's hop into today's topic.
Welcome to day 12 of our Discover SRQ series. Hope you're enjoying it, and I hope you have entered our contest that we're going to be giving away here In about a half of a month. We are talking Venice Island. I wanted to highlight downtown Venice and the Venice Island for just all the unique factors. So you might be familiar with Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key, but just below Siesta Key and Casey Key, you have Venice Island. Venice Island is basically, if you look at on a map, it's one of the first areas where it is not a barrier island. Everything else is mainland, bridges, to beach. You're either on the beach or you're not on the beach.
The way Venice Island feels when you're there, because the mainland and the beach are one and the same, is almost that entire area feels very coastal. When you're downtown Venice, one, you can walk to the beach from any restaurant, any store in all of downtown Venice, but the entire area feels just generally more coastal. Kind of hard to describe the beach breeze, that whole quaint coastal feel this area is made for. It's also a more laid back version and more historical feeling version than like a Siesta Key. If you like what Anna Maria Island is and Siesta Key, and you want a little bit more laid back version, then Venice Island, it really has that kind of charm. It's quaint. It's charming. It's interesting overall. And with the emergence of Wellen Parks of the world and the new construction housing around Venice Island, the livability and commutability to Venice Island is becoming way more feasible and way more interesting than just an old school retirement place. So day 12, I think Venice Island is definitely worth checking out.
