Discover Sarasota: NEW Waterfront Development in DOWNTOWN Sarasota - Day 10 of 30

Hey, everyone. I am Adam Hancock, host of the Florida Relocation Guide and founder of the Sunshine State Company Real Estate Brokerage. In this brand new video series, I'm going to walk you through what's unique, what is special and overall amazing about the Sarasota, Florida, area. 30 days, 30 videos, every single morning. Hello to day 10 for Discover SRQ. In today's video, I am highlighting a very exciting and brand new development brewing in the downtown Sarasota adjacent area. That's in two parts, something called the Quay and called the Bay. The Quay, as far as the plan, which is... It's in the midst of the plan, but it's a 14-acre waterfront district that's going to combine really high-end residential units, there's a boutique hotel that sit in the middle it, I think it's 175 rooms, office space, and just mixed-use commercial space in general. I think it's going to be like 700 high-end residential units. What those are, right now, you have the Bayso, which is a luxury condominium, you have the Ritz, you have a couple hotels there now, you have One Park, which is the newest condominium unit. I think that's 124 units. Really, really high end, like 50,000 square feet of amenities. Then there's going to be a really high-end apartment building that I think Lennar is actually heading up that's built right in the front of it. That's going to make up your units there. It's not really single family homes. You're going to have 40,000 square feet of office space, and then there's going to be really high-end dining and shopping at the bases of those condominium units and the apartment building.

Then you take the Bay, the Bay sits basically here, and the Bay is... There's basically 53 acres of land that was mostly not utilized in a great way, that's on the heart of the Sarasota, Florida, bay front. A very unbelievable area. Some of the best of what this coast offers, the cultural coast. This was mostly parking spaces. You had the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center. But most of that 53 acres wasn't utilized great. Now there's an entire push over several phases to retransform that into parks, mixed-use space. Just a hustle bustle, awesome area. They're going to have connectivity to downtown Sarasota over that busy kind of fronted street there.

Really, really unique to what makes this area special, and I think this really takes advantage of land that maybe was untapped in a smart way or an intelligent way overall. That's day 10.
