Discover Enchanting Kerala with Taj Mahal Trip
Traversing the mystical land of India has been on the bucket list of travelers around the world for ages. Exploring the whole India and many of its spectacles in a single trip can be difficult. So we designed this trip by combining two of the most desired travel destinations of this incredible country – Taj Mahal and the scenic natural wonders of Kerala.
The trip starts when you land in the national capital – Delhi. Our representative would greet you at the airport and escort you comfortably to your hotel. Day 2 is reserved for sightseeing in Delhi. The energy and vibes of this beautiful city is infectious and the aura rubs-on to you.
The city has been the capital of many ancient and medieval era empires and now is the national capital of one of the superpowers of Asia. So as a traveler you can be assured that you are in for an ethereal experience. Apart from being a world-class metropolitan with all the modern amenities, Delhi is abundant with many historical monuments and landmarks that include the majestic Red Fort, Qutub Minaar, Old Fort, Humanyun Tomb, medieval era bazaars and many others.
A rickshaw ride through the labyrinthine lanes of Chandani Chowk in old Delhi would be hard to forget. The glimpses of an era bygone in this ride would take your imagination to a different time altogether. You may feast on the lip-smacking street food of old Delhi in one of its bazaars that boast of restaurants that are now run by their 6th or 7th generation owners.
The day sums-up with extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi that includes a homage visit to Bangla Sahib – a grand place of worship for Sikhs, Parliament House, India Gate, Raj Ghat – the memorial site of the cremation of Mahatma Gandhi, the President’s Residence and the diplomatic enclave. You surely would be awed by the grandeur of these sites.
On Day 3, we start for Agra – an exciting road trip begins! It is nearly a three-hour drive on the Taj Expressway which has many restaurants and other public facilities along the way. If you thought that you have seen the best of Mughal Architecture in Delhi – think again! The epitome of Mughal marvels awaits here – yes, the Mighty Taj Mahal! Seeing this wonder of the world is too much to behold for your eyes. You must have heard a lot of wonderful things about Taj Mahal before embarking this journey. Upon seeing it in real, your ecstasy would shake the ground beneath you. Although the city of Agra is globally famous because of the Taj Mahal but it is not the only thing that would make your eyes dazzle in the city – the Agra Fort would mesmerize you in equal proportions. Also, the food in this place is heavily influenced by Mughal and Persian cuisine. You are certainly in for a treat.
After spending nearly two days in Agra, the second phase of the Taj mahal with Kerala Trip begins i.e. the flight from Delhi to Cochin, Kerala. After frolicking around the many architectural and archeological masterpieces in Delhi and Agra, it is time to explore some natural wonders in the Southern Indian state. God’s Own Country, as it is fondly called – Kerala is blessed with the abundance of flora and fauna. From the breathtaking backwaters of Kumarakom to the enchanting tea plantations of Munnar, Kerala has many flavors to offer. The visuals of the bird sanctuary situated on the banks of the backwater are stunning to say the least. If you are a birder then that would be your Mecca as many migratory as well as local varieties of birds such as Owls, Cranes, Waterfowls, and Cuckoos can be viewed there.
Apart from the boat ride in the backwaters and excavations in the tea plantations you have plenty more to explore in this part of the country. The trip completes on the 10th day and you will transport to the airport to board your flight for home.
