DISCOVER
I had no idea where I was going with words this week. I started Monday with SPLENDIFEROUS, just trying to think of a very positive word for the theme for the week. Then getting up between 2 and 3 am led to EARLY BIRD, and figuring out how that related to SPLENDIFEROUS led me to the WORM (Wonderful Opportunity to Really Matter). Attending a Choosing Wisely Canada conference then presented CHOICE as a choice word. So what ties this all together?
DISCOVER.
We don’t have to seek out new worlds and new civilizations to DISCOVER something SPLENDIFEROUS. We have a CHOICE to be the EARLY BIRD and DISCOVER our WORMs.
Some DISCOVERY quotes looking within or looking critically:
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
― Marcel Proust
“We spend most of our 20s discovering all of the hundreds of things that we can be. But, as we mature into our 30s, we begin to discover all of the things we will NEVER be. The challenge for us as we reach our 40s and beyond is to put it all together – to know our capabilities and recognize our limitations – and become the BEST we can be.” –Catherine B. Ahles
“What is wanted is not the will to believe, but the will to find out, which is the exact opposite.” ― Bertrand Russell
“Discovery consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and thinking something different.” ― Albert Szent-Gy?rgyi
