Discover The Brain Hack Behind David Goggins & Ronaldo's Fitness & Health Success
I was listening to a podcast recently and the host asked a psychologist :
"What makes a David Goggins or Cristiano Ronaldo? Is it something unique they have?"
After all these guys have completed the impossible many times over.
For decades these guys have trained harder than most on the planet, so what is it they have?
Turns out we have it too.
There is a part of the brain called the anterior mid-cingulate cortex (AMC).
This area grows when we do something we do not want to do.
That could be cooking a healthier meal instead of getting a takeaway
Going to the gym instead of having a lay-in.
Perhaps even having that difficult conversation with a friend or partner.
As the AMC cortex grows it becomes easier to complete tasks we do not want to do.
This is how top athletes train year in year out.
They've done the initial hard work, built up their AMC cortex and now continuing on that journey is a lot easier.
So if you struggle to go to the gym, get extra steps, sleep more, or cook healthier meals, know that it won't be this difficult forever.
Do the hard work now and it will be easier later on.
Eventually, it won't be a battle, and if you can get there you'll be on course to a dream physique and a totally stronger human being.
