Discharge curve trend

Discharge curve trend

The trend of the discharge characteristic curve is mainly concerned with the slope of the core discharge curve. Different types of electric cores, the basic discharge trend is different. Lithium iron phosphate, after a rapid drop in voltage at the beginning of discharge, the voltage is in a plateau for a considerable period of time, with a lower charge and little change in voltage; ternary lithium battery, on the other hand, has a relatively high rate of voltage drop during discharge, showing a significant slope. As shown in the following three graphs.

The power delivered by a battery with a sloping discharge curve gradually decreases throughout the discharge cycle. This can cause problems for high power applications at the end of the late discharge period. For low power applications that require a stable supply voltage, if the slope is too steep, a voltage regulator may need to be installed. This is usually not applicable to high power applications because losses in the regulator can consume too much power from the battery.
