Disc separators helps CCGB capsaicin mass production

7 new disc separators are being sent to CCGB for capsaicin production. Capsanthin, uniquely found in capsicum spp., is a fat-soluble red pigment. Capsanthin is regarded as a functional material by antioxidative activity and anti-tumor-promotion activity, even though it exhibits no provitamin A activity. Therefore, increased intake of capsanthin rich foods may be helpful for the improvement of health.

In the extraction process of capsaicin, the application of the disc separator can realize the continuous industrial mass production. At the same time, the inert gas blanketing system (N2) can ensure the safe operation in hazardous areas zone 0, since it comply with safety regulations - Directive 2014/34/EU.
