If there’s a death kiss in marketing, it’s a customer’s disappointment. The only thing worse is indifference, but recovering from disappointment is far harder.
Expectations make disappointment so powerful and dangerous. We believe in something, only to discover it doesn’t live up to the hype. And once that glass shatters, there’s no turning back.
Do customers overcome their disappointment? Yes, but it often comes at a cost — literally. When quality disappears, all that’s left is quantity and a race to the bottom.

7 个月Hi Josh. Perfect timing. We just had that experience with Flair Airlines this morning. Super early we received an email saying that the scheduled flight home had been cancelled because 'crew were delayed'. Rescheduled to...wait for it...next Tuesday, August 27! Scrambled to find another flight that we had to pay for! Disappointed! Very! Now to battle to get a $ refund...no credits for us!!!
