Disable Snipping Tool shortcut to use another screenshot app

Windows 11 now opens the Snipping Tool interface when pressing the Print Screen key on the keyboard, making it impossible for other apps to register the same key to take screenshots.

If you want to use the Print Screen key with another app (such as Lightshot, Greeshot, etc.), you first have to disable the default behavior, and here's how:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click on Accessibility.
  3. Click the Keyboard page.
  4. Turn off the “Use the Print screen key to open screen capture” toggle switch.?

In my original guide, I have the complete set of instructions to enable or disable the Snipping Tool shortcut on Windows 11.

Thanks for this useful guideline. It's always fun when a Windows updates changes things like this.

Extremely useful, thank you! Windows 11 changes old base things for no reason, as usual.
