Last week, we shared findings from our latest consumer survey and we wanted to provide some highlights here as well.???
A government census reports that in 2019, 8% of people, or 26.1 million, did not have health insurance at any point during the year. Today, more than 15 million low-income Americans, now covered by the public health emergency (PHE) are at risk of losing Medicaid coverage unless the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) extends the benefit later this month. A lack or lapse in coverage can cause a serious financial barrier for people to obtain — and maintain — their medicine.??
Even with insurance, too many consumers can’t afford or access the medicine they need. In our latest consumer survey, 58% of respondents cited high prescription costs as their greatest challenge when purchasing medication.??
To address these pressures of cost and uncertainty, we've recently launched an offer for one month of free medicine up to $100 in value. The move supports our mission to deliver safe, affordable medicine to everyone who needs it.??
