The dirty 4-letter word most distributors avoid…
Have you ever had a prospect that said something like…
“I’m not a sales person and I really don’t want to sell and push things on people.”
I have. Lots of times.
And at one point I was taught to reply with…
“Oh no, there’s no selling here. You don’t need to sell anything. You just ‘share’ the business and the product sells itself.”
What a bunch of nonsense that is, as I found out later.
The TRUTH is…
You actually have to SELL a product. Yes, it’s a dirty four letter word that most network marketers avoid like the plague.
But think for a second…
If the product "sold" itself, the company wouldn’t need you, and can skip paying out all these levels of commissions, overrides and bonuses. And can forego awards and top-notch incentive trips that cost them a boat load.
I mean, why go through the trouble and all the expense, if the product “sells itself”?
Because it doesn’t.
The only way people will say YES to either joining your business or buying your product is when you sell it.
Not accepting this reality causes a lot of folks in our business to stay broke for a long, LONG time.
And that’s just one of the issues.
My friend and mentor, Ferny Ceballos, just wrote up a new article:
What’s Wrong with Network Marketing.
Where he digs into a few more things that are really hurting network marketers and killing their chances of true success.
But don't worry, it's not all "doom and gloom"... there plenty of great things about our business.
And Ferny will show you what you need to do to bypass the trouble spots.
It is controversial, but will also save you heaps of frustration and help you create the kind of business that can help you build true financial freedom and independence.

7 年So true! We are customer centered, so if I get that “objection” I say “The great thing about our company is you don’t have to join the business to benefit from the products AND have the opportunity to get your products for free.” Now what typically happens, is the product does make a significant impact on the customer and many change their mind on wanting to join the opportunity once they discover the value. I am the exact example of that! I had ZERO interest in starting a business. You are ?? on point with this! You don’t want a team of people that have a problem with the concept of selling! You want a team of people that are confident and excited about being in SALES, representing a product or service they love!

7 年Yes good point. That certainly turns people off Even me. Just no longer interested in what the other person has to say. All the more reason to be honest and notice the language and feelings of the inter action
