About the Hospital/Health System/Department
- Growing and progressive 200+ bed, Leapfrog A rated community hospital that has served its community for over 50 years
- Primary Stroke Center Designated
- Preparing to obtain Chest Pain Accreditation and begin its journey to obtain Level III Trauma Center designation
- The position will manage a busy and growing Surgical Services Department that performs over 11k annual surgeries including orthopedic, general, cardiovascular / open heart, thoracic, urology, gynecology, and more
- Responsiblity includes a team of 80+ FTEs across the Main Operating Rooms, PACU/Pre-Op, Central Sterile Supply, Endoscopy and the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Strong support level with a team of five (5) Nurse Managers, team of Clinical Coordinators and a Unit Educator
- Houses a DaVinci Robot and will be adding a brand new Hybrid OR next year.
- The position reports to a transformational and dynamic Chief Nursing Officer

Director, Surgical Services (RN) Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred
- CNOR preferred
- NE-BC preferred
- RN Active License State of South Carolina
- Minimum three (3) years of surgical services leadership experience (MUST have recent/current main Operating Room management experience)
- At least five (5) years of Operating Room nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required
- Proven track record in leading and managing teams, staff recruitment and retention, and in improving patient satisfaction and employee engagement
