Director of Purchasing

We're seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Purchasing to lead our procurement operations across multiple properties. This pivotal role will drive cost optimization, enhance supplier relationships, and ensure seamless supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute innovative purchasing strategies that align with corporate goals, prioritizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Supplier Management: Build and foster strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and driving performance improvements.
• Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with operations teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Cost Analysis and Control: Conduct in-depth cost analyses, identify savings opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with culinary, operations, and finance teams to understand their unique needs and align purchasing decisions accordingly.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and brand standards, mitigating risk and safeguarding the business.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and develop a high-performing purchasing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Energy and Sustainability: Work closely with finance and operations teams to optimize energy procurement, identify renewable energy opportunities, and leverage utility incentive programs.
• Supplier Rebate Programs: Actively seek and leverage supplier rebate programs and group purchasing initiatives to maximize cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation (preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience in the hospitality industry.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to delivering results.
